  20 April 2017 at the Sredne-Nevsky Shipyard (SNSZ), there was held a solemn ceremony of keel-laying of the third series-built coastal mine countermeasures vessel Vladimir Emelianov, ordered for the Russian Navy and to be built according to Project 12700.
  The vessel was named after renowned Soviet and Russian shipbuilder Vladimir Emelianov, the Hero of Socialist Labour.

  19 April 2017 at the Admiralty Shipyards, there was held a solemn ceremony of keel-laying of the first-of-class patrol ice-breaker Ivan Papanin, ordered by the Russian Navy. During the ceremony, the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy admiral Korolev said that the keel of the second vessel of the same project would be laid in the nearest future. The ship would be named after polar explorer Nikolay Zubov.

  On 30 March 2017, there was commissioned the Project 10750E inshore minesweeper Alatau to the Kazakh Navy. On 2 April 2017 in Aktau, there was held a solemn ceremony of hoisting her flag.

  From 21 to 25 March 2017, the Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition LIMA-2017 was held on Langkawi Island (Malaysia) where the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau took part in a joint exposition of the United Shipbuilding Corporation. The Almaz CMDB presented its models of Project 12300 missile-artillery boat and Project 12200 patrol boat.

  25 January 2017 at the Sredne-Nevsky Shipyard (SNSZ), there was held a solemn ceremony of keel-laying of the second series-built coastal mine countermeasures vessel Ivan Antonov.
  The vessel was named after Ivan Antonov, the Hero of the Soviet Union, awarded with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal who hit over 300 Hitlerites with his rifle from 28 December 1941 to 10 November 1942 near Dubrovka, Leningrad Oblast.

  24 December 2016, at the Pella shipbuilding yard, there was held a solemn ceremony of keel-laying of a new Project 22800 small missile ship for the Russian Navy. The ship was named Bouria.

  28 October 2016 at the Severnaya Verf Shipbuilding Plant, there was laid the keel of the first-of-class Project 20386 corvette named Derzkiy. This will be a new generation combat ship ordered by the Russian Navy. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Russian Naval Command, the United Shipbuilding Corporation, management of the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau and the Severnaya Verf Shipyard, officials from Saint-Petersburg Administration and other important persons.

  From 22 to 25 September 2016, at Gelendzhik Gidrobaza named after G.M. Beriev, there was held the XI International exhibition and scientific conference on seaplanes Gidroaviasalon-2016. As part of the joint exhibition stand of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (OCK) the Almaz CMDB presented its models of a Project 12200 patrol boat, a Project 12150 fast patrol boat and a Project 12270 passenger hovercraft.

  The Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau has successfully finished participation in the ARMY-2016 International Military Technical Forum held in Kubinka, south-west of Moscow, from 6 to 11 September, 2016. There were exhibited models of a future corvette derived from Project 20382 Tiger and a small missile ship of Project 22800E Karakurt-E which attracted attention of a large audience, including VIPs.

  According to the Russian Ministry of Defence Press Service information, the salvage and rescue vessel Igor Belousov successfully finished her passage from Baltiysk to Vladivostok. The vessel joined the Search and Rescue Service of the Pacific Fleet.

During her passage from port of Colombo (Sri Lanka) to Visakhapatnam the vessel fulfilled research operations in the area where the Indian AN-32 crashed in July, 2016.

 13 June 2016, the Russian Ministry of Defence Press Service (www.mil.ru) has announced that the salvage and rescue vessel Igor Belousov has passed the Suez Canal and continued her passage nearby the Horn of Africa. According to Commodore Dygalo, representative of the Russian Navy, the vessel has visited ports of Lisbon (Portugal), Oran (Algeria) and Limassol (Cyprus).

  1 June 2016 at the Amur Shipbuilding Plant there was laid the keel of the Project 20380 corvette named Rezkiy. This is the third series-built vessel for the Pacific Fleet at the shipyard based in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.

  Today, 9 June, 2016, at the Yantar Shipyard, there was laid the keel of the first series-built oceanographic research vessel Almaz (Project 22010). The first-of-class vessel Yantar was commissioned to the Russian Ministry of Defence on 23 May, 2015. According to the contract, the vessel Almaz is to be commissioned in 2019.

  01 June, 2016, the Russian Ministry of Defence Press Service (www.mil.ru) has announced that today the salvage and rescue vessel Igor Belousov (Project 21300) has left Baltiysk naval base for her homeport of Vladivostok, as she will serve in the Pacific Ocean Fleet.
During her passage, the vessel will visit ports of seven foreign countries.

  10.05.2016, at Feodosia-based PO More shipbuilding yard, there was held a solemn ceremony of keel-laying of a new Project 22800 small missile ship for the Russian Navy.
  According to the order by Admiral Korolev, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, the ship was named Shtorm.
  The ceremony was attended by Denis Manturov, Russian Minister of Trade and Industry; Admiral Vitko, Black Sea Fleet Commander; Vice-Admiral Bursuk, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, and the Crimea authority.

  On Friday, 15 April, 2016, at Navashino-based Shipyard Oka (Nizhegorodian region) there was held a solemn ceremony of keel-laying of a series-built Project 21270 representation boat ordered by the Russian Navy.
  The boat is designed for naval ceremonial purposes and she can also be used as a launch for high-rank officials. She will serve in the Black Sea Fleet.

  From 28 to 31 March, 2016, at Naquery Quitol in Quepem Taluka of South Goa, India, there was held the biennial DEFEXPO INDIA 2016, the ninth Land, Naval and Internal Homeland Security Systems exhibition. The Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau joint-stock company took part in the exhibition as part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (OCK) joint-stock companys joint pavilion, displaying models of a Project 21301 salvage and rescue vessel and a Project 12701 coastal mine countermeasures vessel.

  Saturday, 19 March, 2016, on the Russian Submariners Day, at the Yantar Shipyard, based in Kaliningrad, there was held a solemn ceremony of keel-laying of oceanographic research vessel Evgheniy Gorigledjan.
  The vessel has taken her name after Evgheniy Alekseyevich Gorigledjan, General Designer of special purpose nuclear-powered submarines, whose contribution to the federal system of rescuing at sea, and particularly, of recovering distressed submarines personnel was enormous.

  The Project 22010 oceanographic research vessel Almaz will have been built by the end of 2019 by the Yantar Shipyard, based in Kaliningrad. The vessel is ordered by the Russian Ministry of Defence.
  The keel of the vessel is reported to be laid in 2016.
  The first series-built vessel will be named after her designer the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau. The first-of-class vessel Yantar (see the picture attached) was named after her builder the Yantar Shipyard.

  December 25, 2015, at the Admiralty Shipyards based in Saint-Petersburg, there was held a solemn ceremony of hoisting St. Andrews flag on board the salvage vessel Igor Belousov built under Project 21300 for the Russian Navy. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Vice-Admiral V.Bursuk, director general of the Almaz CMDB A.Shliakhtenko, director general of the Admiralty Shipyards A.Buzakov and other officials.
The salvage vessel will serve in the Pacific Fleet and will be based in Vladivostok.
The Russian Navy is considering a series production of these vessels.

  24.12.2015 December 24, 2015, at the Pella shipyard there was held a solemn ceremony of keel-laying of two Project 22800 small corvettes named Uragan and Typhoon for the Russian Navy to be commissioned in succession in 2017 and 2018.
In the nearest future it is planned to build more than 10 small missile ships according to Project 22800 for the Russian Navy at various Russian shipyards, said Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Vice-Admiral V.Bursuk.
Construction of a series of these ships was announced by Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy Admiral V.Chirkov during the International Maritime Defence Show in Saint-Petersburg in July 2015.

  A solemn ceremony of commissioning and hoisting the Russian Naval flag on board naval transport Akademik Kovalev was held at the Zvyozdochka ship repairing centre in Severodvinsk on December 18, 2015. The ceremony was attended by A.Shliakhtenko, director general of the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau as well as management of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, administration of the Zvyozdochka ship repairing centre; representatives of the Russian Navy Main Staff and Northern Fleet, and other high-rank officials.
In the nearest future the vessel will move to her homeport on the Kola Peninsula.

 A solemn ceremony of hoisting the Russian Naval flag on board floating dock Sviyaga at her new permanent homeport of Severodvinsk was held on December 17, 2015. The ceremony was attended by A.Shliakhtenko, director general of the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau; R.Mistakhov, director general of the Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M.Gorky; N.Kalistratov, director general of the Zvyozdochka ship repairing centre; A.Burilichev, head of Deepwater Research Office in the Russian Ministry of Defence and other high-rank officials.
The floating dock built in accordance with Project 22570 will support maintenance and repair of ships and vessels of the Northern Naval Fleet. She is also capable of transporting vessels by inland waterways. Her capacity is 3300 t.

  28 October 2015, the first-of-class oceanographic vessel Yantar, commissioned in May, arrived at the Russian Naval Northern Fleet homeport. The vessel was met by admiral Korolev, Northern Fleet commander. He noted that the Northern Fleet had been enhanced by a unique next generation research vessel having no match by her capacity in the world (Russian Ministry of Defence).

  From 20 to 23 October 2015, All-the-Russian Exhibition Centre in Moscow was the venue for the XIX International State Security Provision Means Exhibition Interpolitex-2015.The Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau as part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation exposition presented its models of projects 20970, 12200, 12150 and 12300. Also, the Almaz CMDB took part in the annual National Security competition and won the first prize.

  23 July 2015, at the Zvyozdochka shiprepairing centre (based in Severodvinsk) there was held a solemn ceremony of keel-laying of naval transport Akademik Makeyev built by Project 20181 for the Russian Navy. She is the fourth vessel of the Zvyozdochka-class ships. She was named after Victor P. Makeyev, general designer of underwater deployment ballistic missile systems, twice awarded Hero of Socialistic Labour.

  From 01 through 05 July 2015, at the Lenexpo Exhibition Compound, Saint-Petersburg, Russia, there was held the VII International Maritime Defense Show IMDS-2015. The projects presented by the Bureau attracted interest both with the military and civil authorities as well as regular visitors. Besides the IMDS guests had a chance of seeing and/or visiting the vessels designed by the Bureau such as the corvette Stoykiy, the MCMV Aleksander Obukhov, the air-cushion landing ship Evgheniy Kocheshkov.
  The Bureaus exposition was highly credited by the IMDS organizers.

  From 1 to 5 June 2015 at the Lenexpo exhibition centre (103, Bolshoy Ave., Vasilyevsky Island, Saint-Petersburg) there will be held the seventh International Maritime Defence Show IMDS-2015. The Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau will traditionally take part in the event within a joint exposition of OCK (United Shipbuilding Corporation) covering 1000 square metres. The Bureau will present models of Projects 20382, 12300, 12418, 20970, 12200, 12150, 12322, 12061E, 10750E. During the IMDS-2015, there will be first presented models of a Project 21301 salvage vessel, a Project 22100 border guard ship and a Project 12701 coastal mine countermeasures vessel.

  Since 16 to 19 June 2015 at the Patriot Congress and Exhibition Centre (off Kubinka, Moscow region) there was held the first ARMY-2015 International military-technical forum. The Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau took part in the event within the joint OCK exposition, having presented models of a Project 20382 Tiger corvette and a Project 12322 Zubr landing air-cushion ship.

  The Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau, JSC took part in the Saint-Petersburg International Economic Forum which was held from 18 to 20 June, 2015. Visitors of the exposition of Saint-Petersburg Administration could see a model of a Project 22980 vessel for underwater technical works.

  23 May 2015 at the Yantar Shipyard based in Kaliningrad there was held a solemn ceremony of the commissioning document signature for the first oceanographic vessel Yantar named after the builder. After this, the flag of the Russian Navy was hoisted on board the ship.
  ertificates of merit were given by Vice-Admiral Burilichev to the Almaz CMDB designers who had most contributed to the vessel creation.
  The decision on building a second vessel of the type can be taken by the end of 2015 after budget approval for the next year. According to Vice-Admiral Burilichev, the second vessel can be named Almaz, after the designer.

  It is not very long since the 70th anniversary of the Victory Day of the Russian Great Patriotic War (in the western countries known as World War II) has been celebrated by hundreds of millions of people, both in Russia and far beyond.
  Our company does not forget our veterans. Not long before the solemn event, our Youth Board has organised an original performance in our Assembly hall.

  24 April 2015 at the Sredne-Nevsky Shipyard (SNSZ), there was held a solemn ceremony of keel-laying of the first series-built coastal mine countermeasures vessel Georgy Kurbatov. The event was attended by Saint-Petersburg Vice-Governor Sergey Movchan, head of Department in the Russian Naval General Headquarters commodore Vladimir Triapichnikov, Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau general director Aleksander Shliakhtenko, SNSZ general director Vladimir Seredokho. The guest of honour at the ceremony was a son of the Hero of the Soviet Union, after whom the MCM vessel was named Mikhail Kurbatov.

The Exhibition was successful and aroused interest not only with South-East Asian Navies and Coast Guards, but local people as well.

  20 February 2015, at the Severnaya Verf Shipyard, there was held a solemn ceremony of keel-laying of two Project 20380 corvettes Retivyi and Stroghiy. The ceremony was attended by Admiral Victor Chirkov, Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Aleksey Rakhmanov, President of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (OCK), Aleksander Shliakhtenko, General Director of the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau, Aleksey Seleznev, acting General Director of the Severnaya Verf Shipyard and other officials. These are very nice ships that have showed their capabilities in the Mediterranean and Northern seas, said Admiral Chirkov about the corvettes of Project 20380 in his speech during the ceremony.

  25 December 2014 at the Smolny which is the official residence of the governor of Saint-Petersburg there was held a solemn ceremony of awarding state distinctions. Among the awardees there was Dr. Shliakhtenko, general director of the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau. He was given the order For Merit to the Fatherland III class by Georgy Sergeyevich Poltavchenko, Governor of Saint-Petersburg.
  The main thing that unites you despite your professional differences is that you do your job better than others, and that you apply more responsibility to what you do. Your success, your efforts are first of all devoted to Saint-Petersburd and its citizens, said Mr. Poltavchenko during the event. He also congratulated the awardees upon the forthcoming holidays.

  4 December 2014 at Pella Shipyard based in Leningrad region, there was held a solemn keel-laying ceremony of the test vessel Ilmen built by Project 11982 for the Russian Navy. She is a second vessel constructed at this shipyard and the third in the series of Project 11982 ships.
  The ceremony was attended by Vice-Admiral Aleksey Burilichev, Head of Deepwater Research Office in the Ministry of Defence, Aleksander Shlyakhtenko, General Director of the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau, and representatives of other companies such as NPO Avrora, NPTs SES and Mnev & Co.

  6 November 2014 at Zelenodolsky shipyard named after A.M. Gorky, there will be held a solemn ceremony of launching the transport floating dock Sviyaga built according to Project 22570. Such floating docks were never built in Russia during past ten years. This floating dock will provide transportation of ships and vessels by inland waterways between northern and southern regions.
  Beside the Almaz CMDB management the ceremony will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defence, Tatarstan authorities, Zelenodolsk officials and the Ak Bars holding company.

  12 September 2014 , at the Pella shipyard, there was held a solemn ceremony of keel-laying of the test vessel Ladoga (Project 11982) ordered by the Ministry of Defence. The event was attended by Vice-Admiral A.V. Burilichev, Commander G.N. Serikov, Chief Engineer of the Almaz CMDB K.G. Golubev, the management of the Pella shipyard as well as representatives of the Tetis-Pro and Aurora companies.The vessel is to be commissioned in 2016.

  From 04 to 07 September 2014, at Gelendzhik Gidrobaza named after G.M. Beriev, there was held the X International exhibition and scientific conference on seaplanes Gidroaviasalon-2014. Chief Designer Boris Leikis prepared a report for the panel session on Development prospects for high-speed passenger fleet in the Azov and Black Sea region. As part of the joint exhibition stand of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (OCK) the Almaz CMDB presented its models such as a Project 12200 patrol boat and a Project 12061E Murena amphibious hovercraft. The Russian Black Sea Naval Fleet was represented by the missile surface effect ship Bora.

  31 July 2014, at the Sredne-Nevsky Shipyard there was held a ceremony of keel-laying of a Project 10750E inshore minesweeper for the Kazakh Navy.
  A new minesweeper features up-to-date mine countermeasures equipment i ncluding advanced mine-detecting sonars, ROVs and AUVs.
  The ship is to be commissioned mid-2015. There is a request for a second ship of this project for the Kazakh Navy.

  On 27 July, Russia celebrates the Day of the Navy. It is symbolic that on this very day there was organised and held a red carpet ceremony of hoisting the Russian Naval flag on board the third series-built Steregushchy-class corvette Stoikiy.
  The ceremony was attended by Valentina Matvienko, Russian Federation Council Chairwoman, commodore Oleg Zhuravlev, Leningrad Naval Base commander, Aleksander Shliakhtenko, General Director of the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau, and representatives of Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad region Administration, delegates from the Severnaya Verf Shipyard and naval veterans.

  In Severodvinsk at the Zvezdochka Shipyard there was held a solemn ceremony of rolling a new vessel of Project 20181out of a boathouse. The name of the vessel built for the Russian Navy is Akademik Kovalyov.
  This autumn, the ship will start acceptance trials. She is reported to be commissioned to the Russian Navy by the end of this year.

  On 27 June 2014, the Sredne-Nevskiy shipyard launched the first-of-class new generation minesweeper ordered by the Russian Navy. The hull of the minesweeper is made of glass-reinforced plastic.
This new Project 12700 mine countermeasures vessel is supposed to be commissioned to the Northern Fleet in October/December 2014.
The ship displacement is 890 t, her length and beam being 61 m and 10 m respectively. Her speed is 16.5 knots at full displacement, her complement being 44 persons. To counter mines the vessel can use various types of sweeps as well as remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs).

  15 May 2014, Gueorghiy Poltavchenko, Saint-Petersburg Governor, showed gratitude and respect for many years of conscientious work and considerable personal effort for preparation of the International Maritime Defence Show events in 2013 by giving a certificate of honour by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russian Federation to Alexander Shliakhtenko, Director General of the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau, JSC. The Governor also congratulated him on the 65th anniversary and awarded him with a plaque For Service for Saint-Petersburg.

  21 May, 2014, at Zelenodolskiy shipyard named after A.M. Gorkiy, there was held a solemn ceremony devoted to launch of the lead ship of Project 22100 Okean (which means Ocean in Russian). As a whole, given her performance, such as speed of 20 kt, range of 12,000 nm, endurance of 60 days and Arc4 ice reinforcement, the border guard ship Poliarnaya Zvezda (which means Polar Star in Russian) is a truly unique vessel. This is the first ship of such a type designed in post-Soviet Russia in entire accordance with the requirements of Russian Border Guard Service.

  From 20 May through 22 May, 2014, at the Gostiniy Dvor exhibition centre in Moscow there is held the IV International Forum Maritime Industry of Russia. Our company has taken an active part in this event. K.Golubev, Chief Engineer, has attended the enlarged meeting of the Maritime Collegium Presidium of Russian Government held on the opening day of the Forum. Representatives from the Presidents Administration, Government, Maritime Collegium, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Transport and other high rank officials were present at this meeting. 21 May, 2014, during the technical session devoted to special purpose vessels and equipment to provide safe development and exploitation of offshore oil and gas fields, D.Tsymliakov, Chief Designer, made a report titled Development of floating equipment using aircushion to support field exploitation in shallow water environment.

  5 April 2014, we shall commemorate a century since the birth of renowned engineer and naval architect Nikolay Petrovich Pegov (1914-1996).
  During World War II he defended Leningrad and was awarded a Red Star Order in 1944 and a Patriotic War Order, 2nd grade, in 1945, as well as a number of medals.
  In 1956, he was positioned as the Deputy Head Chief Designer of TsKB-363. One of the first designs developed under Pegovs leadership was a Project 266 sea-going mine sweeper. There were built 41 units in number.
  In 1963, after merging TsKB-363 with TsKB-50, he was designated Chief Engineer Chief Designer of TsKB-50 ( since 1966 it would become Zapadnoye Design Bureau, which, in its turn, in 1997, would merge with Almaz CMDB). In 1967, he became Head Chief Designer until the end of his career in 1984 when the Bureau would be awarded a Labour Red Banner Order.
  The Government has acknowledged his contribution in research and development of new military equipment: in 1971 he was awarded a Lenin Order, and in 1975 an October Revolution Order. In 1977, together with a team of engineers he was honoured with the State Premium.
  19 October 1996, Nikolay Petrovich passed away, leaving a good memory of himself as a man who fostered several g enerations of naval architects and engineers.

  26 March 2014, at the Sredne-Nevskiy Shipyard, the hull of Project 12700 Alexandrite coastal mine countermeasures vessel Alexander Obukhov was rolled out of a boathouse. The ship was named after renowned Baltic Naval Fleet boat commander Hero of the Soviet Union A.A. Obukhov (1917-2009). The main feature of the vessel is her whole GRP hull made by virtue of the vacuum infusion technique. The vessel will be equipped with an up-to-date mine countermeasures package comprising capable searching sonars and mine-neutralising vehicles.
